It doesnt feel like it has the small touches GTA4 has but overall I think I will be getting this game. The driver got out and pulled the other driver out of the car, but unlike in GTA4 where the driver would either kick the guys ass or steal the car, the truck driver just stood there the whole time. I did crash into the back of another car that made it crash into the back of a truck. I tried doing that to the ppl outside the house you have in the start of the game but they were like solid brick walls or something. Walking into ppl made them stumble back etc. One of the things I loved in GTA4 were the physics. I like how the car slightly rolls back when you accelerate after a stop, thats a nice little touch. Looking left/right while in the hood view is much smoother and quicker than GTA4, but steering feels too sharp around corners. I dont think the cars are as nice to handle as GTA4 but in fairness I've only given the demo like 15 minutes so far. I think GTA4 excels at the little details like debris etc, but MII still looks great. Mafia II looks damn good in that department. GTA4 I think had better facial expressions but face wise they looked cartoonish. Faces look great, especially during cutscenes. Graphically it looks nice, but again perhaps not up to par with GTA4 in some areas. Enjoy file type Game demo file size 230. I do think the cover system is nicer than GTA4 however. Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven - Game demo - Download Demo version of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven, a (n) action game, for PCs and laptops with Windows systems. GTA nailed it whereas in MII you have to use the right stick to look around as opposed to in GTA where the camera follows you in the direction that Niko walks in. I dont think the controls are as good as GTA4 though, especially with the character walking around. Not a huge difference but it feels more fluid.Ĭontrol wise I just tried to copy my GTA4 settings with the keyboard and the gamepad. The benchmark test gives me 47fps constant, where in GTA4 its around 39fps or so. AA seems to be the FPS killer for me, but with all the rest of the options on high/med it runs great. Now I LOVE GTA4 but it does run like a pig occasionally. On Windows 7 64bit, Mafia II runs damn nice compared to GTA4. I've got an C2D 3ghz (E8400) with 4gb ram and an 8800GT 512mb. If it wasnt for instructions I'd have no idea where to even begin). Gave it a few minutes after doing the hex patching thing (btw how the hell do ppl figure that stuff out.
